Active Ageing nutrition education programs based in North East Melbourne helping adults understand healthy eating, food groups, hydration, meal planning to support energy, strength, bone health and overall wellbeing.

Currently we offer a range of nutrition programs designed to address common needs across community, workplace, and life-stage settings. Programs are delivered within a consistent framework, with flexibility in delivery format to suit different audiences and settings. These programs are delivered throughout Melbourne’s north and north-eastern suburbs.

What We Offer

  • Eat Well, Feel Well is a practical adult education program by Livin’ Active, designed to help individuals to build a positive relationship with food. The program explores everyday foods that can boost your energy, immunity and vitality.

    Designed for adults of all ages, the Eat Well, Feel Well program blends practical nutrition education with simple strategies you can use at home, at work and on the go. Discover how small, realistic changes to the way you eat can make a big difference to your energy, confidence, and long-term health. These sessions are designed to enhance your overall wellbeing and are relevant to real-life routines.

    Across four 90-minute easy-to-follow weekly sessions, you’ll learn how to make food choices that support your lifestyle, prevent illness, and help you feel your best!

  • Life-Stage Nutrition builds on the foundations of Eat Well, Fell Well and focuses on understanding and adapting nutrition to meet your body’s changing needs as you age. This program focuses on practical nutrition strategies to support energy, strength, bone and heart health. and overall wellbeing for adults aged 55 and over.

    Join us for four, 90-minute weekly, sessions where we can explore practical ways to nourish your body for heart, brain, and bone health as well as maintain muscle, and keep you moving well. Program sessions cover:

    1. Supporting Your Nutrition and Wellbeing

      An introduction to what nutrition means as we age and how everyday food choices support overall health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

    2. How Nutrition Changes as Our Bodies Change

      Explores how ageing affects appetite, digestion, and nutrient needs, and how to adapt eating habits to support changing bodies.

    3. Nutrition for Strength, Energy, and Independence

      Focuses on using food to support muscle strength, energy levels, recovery, and maintaining independence in daily life.

    4. Putting It All Together: Balanced Meals Made Simple

      Builds confidence in creating balanced meals by understanding food guidelines, serving size versus portion size, and making informed food choices.

  • WorkWell Nutrition is a practical workplace nutrition program designed to support employees’ energy, focus, and overall wellbeing both at work and beyond.

    This program recognises the realities of modern working life, including busy schedules, varying roles, shift work, stress, and fatigue. Participants are guided to understand how everyday food choices can support sustained energy, concentration, and long-term health without restriction, dieting, or complex rules.

    Aligned with Livin’ Active’s Eat Well, Feel Well approach, sessions focus on simple, achievable nutrition strategies that fit real workdays. The program encourages participants to build confidence around food, develop healthier habits, and make choices that support not just their working hours, but their quality of life overall.

    Suitable for a wide range of workplace settings, WorkWell Nutrition can be delivered as a standalone program or as part of an organisation’s broader health and wellbeing initiative.
